Welcome

Hello and welcome. Myself and the Pixie Potlings now have our very own blog which has caused much excitement amongst them, they are all fighting to have their photo posted on here!

Let me tell you a little about myself and them. I have been playing with Polymer clay for about 15 years...where does the time go *gasp*  I have made all sorts of things from charms to wall plaques but nothing has been as fulfilling as creating 'them' the tiny flower folk that have been around me for as long as I can remember. As a little girl I would see them in my garden peeking from behind flowers and trees but it took quite a while until they plucked up the courage to introduce themselves as The Pixie Potlings. We had tea parties, climbed trees and played hide and seek (they always hid in their flower pots so that wasn't hard).  Each Little Potling had a character all of it's own..some angelic and some impish but all loveable. I would spend long Summer days playing with these little folk but as time passed and I grew up these wee folk began to fade and although I always felt them with me it was many years until we met again. Although I discovered Polymer Clay in my late teens and enjoyed making all sorts of crazy things with it, it wasn't until I'd had my children and started to look at things through their eyes, that the memories of the Pixie Potlings came back to me and it is through the medium of clay that I can share them with you! They are now much loved dwellers in our home (along with a 50ft pink Dragon called Lucy but that's another story) Most of the time they are utterly wonderful to be around but If I have been busy and haven't managed to sculpt one then they start to bug me like crazy or they'll wake me at three in the morning demanding to be created, On the whole they are amazing, inspiring, mindbogglingly annoying  and totally bonkers  ....but you know what, I wouldn't have it any other way!
